Our Story

Estabilished in 1966

At just 8’ wide and 60’ long, and once an alleyway, the Mighty Fine Pizza building is now known as, “The hardest working 480 square feet in Petoskey!”

The building originated in 1966 and was Petoskey’s first pizza place. In 1993 Bill Schmidt Sr. and Bill Schmidt Jr. went into a father/son venture, bought the place and dedicated themselves to producing the best quality pizza possible. In 2012 Mighty Fine Pizza was purchased by Earl and Ambre Flynn of Petoskey. Earl Flynn was a previous Mighty Fine Pizza employee in the early 1990s.

“Friendly Staff”

The Sweet Escape is the best burger I have ever had in my life. Dried cherries, bacon, thick patty, cheese, and mango bourbon sauce. Phenomenal! Had the calzone with bacon The other day as well, delicious. My favorite pizza/burger place in town.

“LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!”

Great service, quality food, and family-owned. If you are looking to try something a little less traditional, their bacon cheeseburger pizza is amazing!.

“Definitely a Good Value”

Great pizza! Sweet sauce and thick crust. The dough was very good and cooked perfectly. Not to mention the view while waiting for it. The pizza came up fast and the price was fair.
